Dr. Bob Kumra opened our first office in Washington, DC, driven by his passion for creating beautiful smiles and his belief that orthodontic treatment should be a positive experience from start to finish.

Practice Administrator
I was born and raised in the Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I worked as a teacher and a banker for 11 years. We moved to the USA in 2007 for a good opportunity for my husband’s career. I didn’t expect that I’ll be part of Dr. Kumra’s growing company. I’ve been working with him for 9 years now.
Office Manager
I was born in Argentina, but my parents moved to Venezuela when I was 6 years old. I found my true passion in life when I worked as an orthodontist for more than a decade in Venezuela. Circumstances forced me to move abroad again, this time to Colorado, where I managed a day spa for years. When I became an empty nester, I moved to DC to be closer to my family. I love being in a big city with a lot of diversity and fun activities to do on the weekends.
Orthodontic Assistant
Darli supports the doctors during procedures and helps ensure patients are comfortable and informed. A Maryland native, she finds joy in seeing how happy patients are at the end of treatment. When she’s not in the office, she’s spending time with family.
Scheduling Coordinator
Carla helps keep things running behind the scenes—greeting patients, scheduling visits, and managing the front desk with ease. Born in Bolivia and raised in Florida, she recently moved to the DMV. She enjoys visiting botanical gardens and relaxing with her husband and family.
Clinical Assistant
Pramila has been working in dentistry since 2014 and brings that experience to every patient she sees. Originally from Nepal, she assists with check-ins, treatments, and adjustments. She loves before-and-after photos, gardening, and reminding patients that it’s never as scary as it seems.
Financial Coordinator
I joined the Kumra Orthodontics team back in 2022 as a patient coordinator and now am financial coordinator. I am always available to assist our patients in understanding the financial aspect of their treatment and dental insurance, as well as answer any treatment questions and/or billing inquiries.
Family is everything to me. Away from the office you will always find me around loved ones. I love shopping, traveling, listening to podcasts and spoiling my adorable fur-baby, Vela.
Scheduling Coordinator
I was born in the Philippines and moved to Virginia when I was 11 years old. I speak 3 languages – Waray (Filipino dialect), Tagalog, and English. I am probably the first person you will see as you enter the front door of our Stafford office. I will greet you and be glad to help you with all necessary paperwork. I love to read, listen to true crime podcasts, and spend time with friends and family. I enjoy working at Kumra Orthodontics with my colleagues. Hope to see you in the office.
Scheduling Coordinator
April is a friendly and dedicated member of the Kumra Orthodontics team. She helps ensure every patient feels comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive. Whether assisting during treatments, coordinating appointments, or answering questions, April brings professionalism and warmth to each interaction. Outside the office, they enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring the area, and discovering new hobbies.
Lab Technician
I joined Kumra Orthodontics in January 2023. I truly enjoy making clear aligners and retainers. In my free time, I like going to the gym and going to church. I also really REALLY love Chipotle!
Lab Technician
Jordy joined Kumra Orthodontics in April 2024 and works behind the scenes crafting custom appliances like retainers and aligners. He’s a proud Virginian who values work-life balance and believes, “Life is too long to be in a hurry.” When he’s not in the lab, you’ll find him watching movies or playing soccer. New to treatment? Jordy says there’s no place like Kumra Ortho to combine top-tier care with a touch of fun.
Clinical Manager
Farrow came on board in July 2024, starting as a Dental Assistant before stepping into her current role. She keeps clinical operations flowing smoothly and ensures every patient experience feels comfortable and cared for. Hailing from North Carolina, she brings warmth, heart, and a “can-do” spirit to the office. Her motto? “Try is to fail. Do is to succeed.” Off the clock, Farrow enjoys traveling and time with family. She reminds new patients: Feeling nervous is normal—we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Treatment Coordinator
Chelsey joined Kumra Ortho in March 2025, originally starting as a Scheduling Coordinator before stepping into her current role. As a Treatment Coordinator, she’s your go-to guide—from the first photo and X-ray to financing and getting your smile journey started. Chelsey makes sure every question is answered and every patient feels supported.
Born and raised in Western Maryland, Chelsey brings both warmth and wisdom to the team. As a mom of three and a proud grandmother, she knows how to connect with patients of all ages—whether it’s helping a child feel at ease or guiding adults prioritizing their long-term dental health.
When she’s not in the office, Chelsey’s soaking up time with her family, swimming, or recharging by the ocean (her happy place). Her favorite reminder?
“Butterflies are proof that something beautiful can come from a great deal of darkness.”
