There’s a White Russian taste called the Dude after the Big Lebowski that’s among the greatest in town. Only walk-in and takeout services will be available during limited reopening hours in June, which are 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. Pickup orders can be pre-ordered and paid for by guests.

For those who prefer their ice cream in a cup, Bon Matcha has a small selection of soft-serve matcha ice cream and other matcha-themed treats on the menu. Green tea from Japan, known as matcha has a sweet, earthy taste. It differs from other kinds of matcha in taste and aroma. Cherry blossom soft serve ice cream is available only throughout the spring and summer months, so be sure to order some with your ice cream. The addition of something fruity and lighter balances out the stronger tea flavor. This is the ice cream for you if you’re looking for something a little different. You can’t get more DC than cherry blossom ice cream from Japan.

Ice cream Jubilee has a fascinating backstory, and that’s one of the reasons we like it so much. As a Department of Homeland Security employee working weekends, Victoria Lai would spend her leisure time inventing new ice cream flavors in her apartment. Having pursued her lifelong dream of making her own ice cream, Ice Cream Jubilee was created with three permanent DC sites and a slew of pop-up locations throughout the city.
You’ll find a wide range of interesting tastes, including some that are dairy-free. Snickers Snickerdoodle and Cookies & Cookie Dough ice cream are must-haves. Waffle cones are a favorite, and you can get them in regular, chocolate, or a combination of the three here. Trying the mix was a given, and we did so while seeing it be prepared in front of us. It was wonderful!
