Dr. Bob Kumra
Dr. Bob Kumra is an orthodontist with one determined philosophy: To make you smile confidently from the very moment you walk through the doors of his practice. He accomplishes this with the care he delivers to his patients and the passion he puts into his profession. He and his staff have built a climate of trust, hard work, and appreciation for the job that they do each day which creates a dental practice environment that is warm and welcoming. The office is filled with the latest technology ensuring patients are provided with cutting edge treatment, from digital scanners to smile simulations.
Dr. Bob, as his younger patients enjoy calling him, is wholeheartedly devoted to the DC community. Having been born and raised in the DC area, he has a deep appreciation for the people and the culture. He finds opportunities to give back to the community in anyway he can. He sees his profession not just as a career, but as a calling of service.
Meet Dr. Bob
Dr. Bob Kumra strives to create a warm and welcoming dental practice. He considers his profession a calling, actively giving back to the community he deeply appreciates.
Dr. Bob earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery and Certification in Orthodontics from the Howard University College of Dentistry. He is committed to continuing education in his field and travels frequently to national conferences in order to stay current with the latest guidelines and methods in orthodontics. Locally, Dr. Bob teaches orthodontic residents and other doctors on the most up-to-date techniques with Invisalign and orthodontic tooth movement.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bob can be found attending DC sporting events and spending quality time with his nieces and nephews. He loves music and just started taking violin lessons. He is also an avid runner and ran his first Marine Corps marathon in 2017!
